starting to tape

the last blog that i posted, i was telling everyone the basics of becoming an athletic trainer. for the next four weeks ill tel about what we are learning each week.

in class today, we are learnng about how to tape the ankle and foot arches. the ankle is a pretty complicated task to learn how to tape it. the hardest part about it is that you want to tape the ankle without having any wrinkles in the tape. this is the part that i am struggling with. hopefully if i keep working at it then i can become good at taping ankles. the good thing though is that we have another two weeks until i have to take the test on my ankle taping. taping arches is also hard to do becaue everyone's foot is shaped different and its hard to place the tape on around their foot with out having wrinkles. the reason why you cant have wrinkles in your tape is because is may cause the athlete to get blisters. hopefully within the next few weeks i can figure out the little techniques of ankle taping and then be ready to learn how to tape our next body part.
